Raymond James has promoted Todd Gartrell, CFP®, to the rank of southeast regional director for Raymond James Financial Services, the firm’s independent broker/dealer.

Gartrell previously served as an assistant regional director for the RJFS Southeast region since 2012. He replaces Jodi Perry, who now serves as president of the RJFS Independent Contractor Division .

Joining the firm in 2005, Gartrell started as a corporate training manager, training and coaching new and veteran financial advisors, as well as branch managers. In 2009, he became the Suncoast Complex sales development manager for Raymond James & Associates , working with advisors to focus on increasing the value and effectiveness of their practices. He later became a branch manager for RJA’s Sarasota office, serving in that role until 2012 when he joined RJFS as an assistant regional director.

RJFS-ICD’s Southeast region includes seven states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, as well as Puerto Rico.
